Healthcare Program
The Multicultural Chamber of Commerce offers a number of Health related programs, including:
1. Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Plans:
As official Navigatos for the U. S. Department of Health & Human Services, MCC can help you establish an account with the "Marketplace", and help you and your employees select the best affordable health plan with the insurance company of your choice.
2. Health Education - Medical Education for Consumers
Under our 'Self-Care' Program, we offer seminars on General Health as well as on Health Conditions & Diseases, providing information on:
i. How a disease or health condition begins
ii. What can you do to prevent diseases / health conditions
iii. Symptoms, diagnosis & prognosis of a disease or health condition
iv. Treatment Options: Traditional & Non-Traditional (self-care, naturopathy, homeopathy, etc.)
3. Medical Tourism - Treatment, Surgeries overseas
Medical Tourism has become a billion dollar industry, with clients from around the world traveling to USA, UK, Europe, Asia, Middle East and the Caribbean/Latin America for better treatment or inexpensive healthcare, including surgeries & dental care. MCC maintains information & contacts about the doctors, clinics, hospitals and other health-tourism providers to help you find cost effective and reliable resources.
The Affordable Care Act of 2010, also known as ‘Obamacare’, is offering great opportunities for thousands of uninsured and under-insured Americans to seek healthcare, either as individuals or through their employers.
MCC has been appointed as a ‘Certified Navigator’ thru Enroll Michigan, for the United States Department of Health & Human Services (USDHHS),. MCC undertakes educational, marketing and outreach events to promote ACA programs, and help you establish an account with the Market Place, and help you select an appropriate and affordable health plan, within your budget.
Michigan Department of Health & Human Service (MDHHS) and Healthy Michigan has also partnered with, and appointed MCC to help enroll the indigent Michiganders in the State’s Healthy Michigan Programs. MCC can sign-up needy individuals, elderly and families for Medicaid, Healthcare, Emergency Cash support, Food, Heating, and other programs.
As the cost of healthcare, including dental care & surgeries, continues to increase significantly, and health insurance becomes prohibitively expensive, thousands of Americans, Canadians, British and other global citizens explore less expensive healthcare providers in foreign countries.
